CHAMPIONS IN FINAL SEASON IN COUNTY LEAGUE:
This was the final season that Hanley Town's first team played in the County League prior to moving to the Mid-Cheshire League. Home fixtures were played at Leek Town's Hamil Park, though talks with the council were going well for land being allocated to build our own ground.
The season was another success, the Staffordshire County League (North) Premier Division title being achieved with one defeat and a good third place for the Reserves. The Hanley Cup was won for the first time since 1968/69 season and the Roger Lomas Trophy was regained after a one year absence as Runners-Up.
