Hanley Town Reserves had to come from behind in their Staffordshire Football League Division One fixture on Saturday. Town fell behind against the run of play on 32 minutes when a quick breakaway and cross from the left found an onrushing FC41 winger to fire into the net from close range. The goal was completely against the run of play, in the opening 15 minutes Hanley could have been out sight with several chances being saved, blocked by brilliant last ditch defending or hit wide.

The second half was completely dominated by Hanley, the equalising goal just before the hour mark came straight from a Tylese Armstrong corner kick. Nwaobilor Ananaba put Town in front seven minutes later. On 75 minutes a sweeping move ended with an Adam Machnik run and cross an Alfie Wright dummy leaving it for the on-rushing Ananaba to fire into the corner of the net from just inside the penalty area for his second of the game.

Hanley made it four six minutes later when a jinking Tylese Armstong run finding the net from the edge of the penalty area. Town keeper Riley Clough pulled of two superb saves to deny the visitors goals in the closing minutes, which Hanley could have easily added to their total at the other end.
