Hanley Town made it through to the First Qualifying Round of the FA Cup after a 2-0 replay win in Worcestershire against Hellenic League Premier Division side Droitwich Spa. Hanley Town now face near neighbours Abbey Hulton United at the NBe Brokers Stadium on Saturday 5th September.

Hanley Town went in front on 32 minutes with a superb strike from 25yards from Jake Twyford, man of the match Max Van Der Laan added a second early in the second half, firing low into the net to put Town in control. The outcome may have been different if it wasn't for a superb save by Town keeper Michael Shortehouse diving at full stretch to the left to tip a shot onto the inside of the post and then reacting quickly to save on the goal line.
