Hanley Town bounced back from their FA Trophy defeat on Saturday with a 3-0 win against 1874 Northwich at the NBe Brokers Stadium on Tuesday night.
In the opening minutes of the first half Lewis Porter was sent clear in on goal from a superb Jake Twyford throughball only to see his shot saved for a corner by the 1874 keeper Beddow. Seven Minutes later though Porter put Town ahead with a goal from a Sant corner.
On 23 minutes Jake Twyford did find the net, drilling a low freekick into the corner of the net after a foul on Fin Pattison. On 36 minutes 1874's Mwaliteta latched onto a clearance on the edge of Hanley's penalty area from a corner before his shot took a wicked deflection forcing Town keeper Lucas Knight into a brilliant save.
A minute later a cross from the right found it's way to an unmarked Spinelli who fired a shot straight into the hands of Town keeper Knight.
Hanley responded a few minutes later when Jake Twyford struck the post. A minute later Twyford had a great chance to net his second and Hanley's third, racing onto a cross from Pattison only to drag his shot wide of the post.
