A depleted Hanley Town side lost their first home league game of the season after a wonder strike denied Hanley a point against title contenders Clitheroe.
Clitheroe dominated most of the first half, Town keeper Lucas Knight made a number of saves to deny the visitor's taking the lead. Knight got down well twice to deny first Gilchrist and then Windass. Knight then tipped over the crossbar from a Gilchrist header. Clitheroe had the ball in the net, a Gilchrist header hit the Town crossbar with Touray following up to head into the net only to be ruled out for offside.
At the other end Hanley's Lewis Porter control, turn and shot from just outside the penalty area was well saved by Clitheroe keeper Isherwood.
And a few minutes later Porter headed wide from an Ramsey cross. Hanley took the lead against the run of play a superb cross from Ramsey found Callum Middleton to bundle the ball into the net.

Hanley were a stud length away from netting a third, Devante Ramsey man of the match contender turned his marker inside out before whipping in a low cross with Jake Twyford sliding in at the back post (Paul Gascoigne) inches away from tapping into the net.
