Hanley Town came away with a deserved point at one of the favourites for promotion, Stalybridge Celtic. Their were few first half chances Devante Ramsey almost put Hanley in front when through on goal only to fire inches wide of the post. Jack Irlam for the home side was only a stud away from connecting to a Liam Tongue's cross.

Hanley Town took the lead on 75 minutes a Devante Ramsey run and cross found Lewis Porter whose neat lay off found Jake Twyford to fire low into the net from just inside of the penalty area. Stalybridge levelled with five minutes to go an Ellis Horan cross was headed towards goal only for Town keeper Mickey Shortehouse to pull of a tremendous save only for the loose ball to fall to Lewis Rawsthorn who tapped home from close range. Ethan Morgan almost won it for Hanley in injury time but fired just wide of the post.
